I know some people are not going to understand but…..

My parents are thinking about stopping my allowance and it’s really stressing me out, I have a part time job but it wouldn’t pay enough to let me keep my lifestyle. I don’t think I could work much more as it can be boring. This whole life thing totally sucks sometimes!!!! 🫤

I have twin 22yo sons. They knew they'd be expected to be contributing members of society. Zero allowance.

They both have full-time jobs.
One lives at home but still does household chores and pays his own car, insurance, fuel, and cell phone.
The other moved out and rooms in a large house with buddies.

It's time to adult. That means full-time job and reducing lifestyle when necessary.

I know you’re right, but I love being able to buy what I want and losing that even for a little while seems like it will be harsh. @Jenny1234

@Strongtea I was in the same boat as you growing up where my parents gave me everything I asked for. I didn’t realize it back then but working for my own money and buying what I need/wanted with my own money made me feel way more like an adult.
