Parents of children who play any sport need to read this

When my daughter was 7 we put her in a special needs learning league for volleyball. It has for kids to learn and develop skills. A fun laid back league. Well the team was in the playoffs ( all teams made them) and the coach pulled my daughter and two others before it was their turn to serve because she felt the other kids would help the team win. My daughter and the other kids were crushed by this move. This was supposed to be a learning experience for them. It wasn't. This coach put her needs to win over the kids. Needless to say all the parents were upset. But the real loss was what that coach taught my daughter and the other two kids. They weren't good enough.

@Cigarguy101 in this situation, the coach needs to be called out
@Cigarguy101 that might be a good lesson learned early though

sooner or later we all learn from people better than us that we are not good enough

@orioninthenight in a regular league yes. But this was a uncompetitive learning league for children with sensoey sensitives. I don't think it was the best place to do that.
It’s hilarious but sadly necessary, since parents seem to lose sight of these facts.
@bijouxbroussard Never being a parent myself, but being a child once, obvious ... I notice changes from when I was a child from now. I think the culture of being too supportive, ego driven (opinion of mine), has gone too far. There were battles on the playground before, of course, but there was a certain quality of fun and understanding before, it's just a game.

This display should be made mandatory in all kids playgrounds where parents are allowed as spectators 😀😀😀
