Social Isolation in Children during the COVID-19 Pandemic

I'm a student at Sheridan College, in the Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership degree program. For one of my assignments, I would like to know from parents if their children have faced any challenges during the lockdowns (such as socioemotional regression, loneliness, lack of social contact with their peers, depressive symptoms, etc) and how it affected them. I also want to know what parents have done in order to support them during the pandemic. I would greatly appreciate any answers I get. Thank you.

We was very lucky with all of that. We did have a town lockdown for just a couple of months. I have close to 200 acres of land. So me and the kids wasn't stuck in the house at all. By summer I think everything was open up. By fall the school had a choice of online learning or go to school. My kids did the online classes. It wasn't a big deal with me since I work from home. We did that for like 2 year's. They just went back to school this year.

@smileylovesgaming Ah, I see, thank you for answering my question. It's good to know that your kids weren't heavily affected by social isolation like some others. I do find it interesting that the school gave your kids a choice of either learning online or in person, as over here I believe kids were required to go back.

@joshramkelowon I think that fall they was planning to split all the kids into two groups. One group went to school one week. The other group did the online classes. Then next week they switched. They would also have to keep a distance from friends and wear mask. It all just seem like to much scheduling and work for me. That is when I let my kids decide online class or return to school. Later on they was forcing the vaccine to all students. My kids school they really didn't force it at all. When my kids return to school they never asked if they got the vaccine at all.
