Met this lady today

She was telling me she feels like a terrible mom because she works full time & when she gets home she just wants to rest & feels too tired for her kids 馃ズ

She's single so her mom keeps the kids while she's at work.
She said how the kids do all this fun stuff with their grandma & she's grateful for that but she just wishes she could do more with them too.

Even on her few days off, she accidentally rests too much or will feel lazy, so she worries she's not a good mom or that her kids would rather be with their grandma.

If you ask me, the way she felt about it & everything she said, told me she's a great mom 馃枻
I've heard a lot of mom's put themselves down at times for not being enough & that ALWAYS makes me realize what a great mom they are.
If you weren't a great mom, you wouldn't worry about that stuff. The reason it hurts you so much is because you care so much. You want the best for them & you're working your ass off to do more than you're capable of.. & in the end you'll succeed. Because mom's like that always do when they want it that bad 馃檹

Idk... I can't help but always think "damn I wish I had a mom like you". Mine walked away when I was too young to understand any of that. So I respect TF out of a trying mother 鉂わ笍 You can't give them the whole world, but YOU'RE enough

Dude. Very insightful of you.
I been through that myself.
I was in bad shape and spent most of my time in bed.
I hardly ever left the room much less the house.
But the kids figured out how it worked all on their own against their mothers wishes even.

When they wanted dad time they came and spent time with me in the bed. Play video games, watch movies, play with toys all in the bed. They would just wake me up.
Also I was staying up late when I was awake.
They would wake up and come spend time sitting on my lap or just snuggling throughout the night.
Mom hated that they would wake me up.
She would come into the room and both, who weren't caged in the crib, would be using me as a seat while I slept and she would try to run them off. LOL
Any way. I felt guilty I wasn't doing the dad stuff I thought they needed.
I wasn't playing ball or going for walks.
Looking back and talking with them now they didn't care much.
Like I say .. when they needed dad time they just took it no matter if I was awake or not. LOL

@Dainbramadge damn man that's adorable. It sounds like you were depressed but I'm glad that your kids loved you through that anyway 馃枻 even if there's things you wish you would've done, or stuff you wish was different, you were there. That made the difference
