I let my 16 year old have a glass of wine at Christmas. I went into his room last week and that same glass, half full, is sitting on his dresser like an old trophy covered in dust. I said please throw it out. He said he’s keeping it there as a reminder of how disgusting it tasted so he doesn’t drink it again.

Hahahah my son always tries to feed me the last of his banana in the morning, it’s all warm and mushy bc it’s been in his hand for a while before he decides that’s enough

A friend of mine took her daughter to a fisherman's shop and they had wine gum worms there. Her boyfriend got the daughter some wine gum worms, which she twisted around in her hands until they looked like real worms. When she offered one to her mom, she thought "okay, is this a real worm?" and the daughter said "I prepared them for you so you don't have to chew so much" 🥺

I'm assuming you're talking about babies and toddlers. I always assumed it was a combination of unrefined possesion displays combined with shifting attention spans and unperfected motor skills.
