How would you go through the pain of losing your loved ones?

I had a nightmare where my brother is dying and it kept me awake for the whole night. I always wondered if the idea of losing someone makes someone upset, how would someone go through it if it actually happened to them?

I lost my brother when he was 19. It was an extremely painful thing to go through. Only time can make the scar of that emotional wound fade. Lots of time.
