How would you go through the pain of losing your loved ones?

I had a nightmare where my brother is dying and it kept me awake for the whole night. I always wondered if the idea of losing someone makes someone upset, how would someone go through it if it actually happened to them?

I have lost my MOM very early age (I was seven +) , i know the pain of Loosing her and still missed her , but i learned how to live with out her . Its tough and tormenting but still Im here ..alive.
