How many siblings do you have, and are you close with them?

I don't have any siblings, I am an only (natural) child. I have an adopted "brother" but he was and is my parents "golden child" and found favor in their eyes. We have never had any kind of real relationship because he thinks he is the smart one, the competent one, the lazy one, and that I am the "loser" who is not that intelligent and have turned my back on my parents (in fact the opposite is true). There is so much to the story that he doesn't even have a clue about, and wouldn't believe a word of it if I did enlighten him on it, so I just let him go on believing what he wants.
