is it better to give no gift at all then a gift the person is not going to like and is going to throw away?

what kind of present would you get for a person who hates presents?I just don't even know what to do. my mom hates all the presents I got her, she even hated the fact that I got her money, she thinks its something people do when they don't have time to go out and buy something. she thinks its not really a real present.I tried making her thins I have tried buying her things i tried gift cards, she didn't use them one she lost. I dont really want to buy her anything anymore or spend time making anything. she said that gifts are ways of giving people junk they will never use. she is so ungrateful isnt having gifts you dont like that much better then never getting a gift for the rest of your life?

Some people don't appreciate genuine feelings.... they're just too materialistic. To the extent that if you give them anything worth even 5000$, they'll think of how others buy even more expensive stuff...they'll never say thank you or anything....
So don't waste your time trying to understand her. She'll never get it.

@Vivaci yea its hard, she does say thank you luckily but then she says I dont need this. our family is a big gift giving family so there is a lot of pressure to get my parents things. I feel bad because she buys me a lot of things.

@Girlyfriendcollecting I come from a similar family and I can understand your pressure. Just give her a budget and ask to buy anything she wants from Amazon. That's what I do! 😝
