is it better to give no gift at all then a gift the person is not going to like and is going to throw away?

what kind of present would you get for a person who hates presents?I just don't even know what to do. my mom hates all the presents I got her, she even hated the fact that I got her money, she thinks its something people do when they don't have time to go out and buy something. she thinks its not really a real present.I tried making her thins I have tried buying her things i tried gift cards, she didn't use them one she lost. I dont really want to buy her anything anymore or spend time making anything. she said that gifts are ways of giving people junk they will never use. she is so ungrateful isnt having gifts you dont like that much better then never getting a gift for the rest of your life?

I am a lot like your Mom. I don't hate gifts, but there really isn't anything I need and I'd rather not get something I'll shove in a cupboard or closet and never look at again, so my kids have finally stopped trying. Now I get what I really want.....time with them. Instead of buying gifts, they take me to places I want to go. Concerts, live theatre, dinner at really nice restaurants. These are all things I wouldn't want to do alone, and couldn't afford, if I would, so I'm getting the best gifts and spending good quality time with my loved ones.

@Serenitree ps....I never said I don't like what I got. I just asked them to not buy me anything because I didn't need anything.

@Serenitree yea. I dont like getting gifts either. Because they are always thoughtless. I'd rather not have anything..how many pairs of house shoes, pajamas, watches etc does one need??

@Serenitree oh and also bubble bath and sprays😒. They always either stink or have that cheap plastic smell. Can you at least wait until Bath & Body Works has their yearly 75% off sale and get me something that actually smells good for only three bucks?😂

@iamnikki Well, that's one thing no one in my family would ever get me. I've been using unscented everything for a very long time. I'm super sensitive to so many products and allergic to a few.

@Serenitree Oh I see. I love them though i'm sure they aren't good for us,,,chemicals and stuff. One step at a time for me I guess. Least I use aluminum free deodorant now. Good stuff😁
