is it better to give no gift at all then a gift the person is not going to like and is going to throw away?

what kind of present would you get for a person who hates presents?I just don't even know what to do. my mom hates all the presents I got her, she even hated the fact that I got her money, she thinks its something people do when they don't have time to go out and buy something. she thinks its not really a real present.I tried making her thins I have tried buying her things i tried gift cards, she didn't use them one she lost. I dont really want to buy her anything anymore or spend time making anything. she said that gifts are ways of giving people junk they will never use. she is so ungrateful isnt having gifts you dont like that much better then never getting a gift for the rest of your life?

I would say receiving a gift at all is better. Consider something handmade that will be special to them not just as a material item.

@EdjeMonkeys yea I have made things before. I now have tons of ideas for my dad for christmas and no ideas for my mom, I thought my dad was hard to buy for but my mom is much harder. she should understand she is hard to but for.

Has your mum said out loud that she hates them? That's awful! Still, I suggest a handmade card or something similar. Try thinking about her recent interests.

@EdjeMonkeys no she has said that she dosent like it but she did not use the word hate, mostly she just throws them away, she said that that's not what she wants and she said that gifts are crap people give each other. I have asked her what she wants but either I end up picking out the wrong thing or she tells me not to buy it for her because she does not want me spending that much money on her. which is sweet but I never get to get anything for her and I have to watch while other people give her grate gifts that she is happy about or amazed at, she likes other peoples gifts and hates mine.
