MY New 18 stepdaughter borrowed my car and it was in an accident! How do I cope ?

Having a flicker of OMG freaking out— what’s going to happen to my insurance now ???? So that’s two questions. But I’m more curious as to how to talk with her, to what degree do I hold her financially accountable?

@smileylovesgaming Yes someone borrowing your car is covered by your insurance.

@smileylovesgaming She ha de permission but is only hanging around temporarily so she is not insured.
@Mindful you gave an uninsured driver permission to drive your car?

WE Thought she was insured. Either way, in Texas the car has insurance assigned to it

@LadyGrace she hit the curb last time — not so serious, came home with a gash in the other car. So we decided that she can only use the old 1998 after that only for errands till she leaves for college.poor thing hasn’t had enough practice driving?
