What do you think are the pros and cons of having parents that are older then the average age gap between parent and child?

As in being in the grandparents generation

My parents were aged 38 and 39 when I was born. I'm not sure how that affected me, really.

The majority of people have kids in their thirties. Now though a lot of people have kids in late forties and even fifties. @33person

@celine211 Well, 38 + 18 = 56, so they were 56 and 57 when I was 18 and 57 and 58 when I was 19. Now, my dad is dead (he was an alcoholic and died of cirrhosis of the liver at age 59) and my mom is 62 and healthy.
