When is the right time to stop breastfeeding?

Hi there fellow mum's, currently I'm breastfeeding my 2 babies who are now 14 months. With my eldest he stopped being breastfed shortly after he turned 1. The twins still grab at my top/bra etc when they are hungry so I would guess they are still needing milk.

What age did you stop breastfeeding and start with follow on milk?

I would say 20 months at least,of course it is conditional upon various factors, your own health and well being as well as theirs. Both of my kids were nursed until 22 months but it was not full. After the 6 months solids were introduced after the much discussion with their pediaterition.

I am strong believe in breastfeeding as i have seen miracles happen. Formula sucks and should only supliment when a mother is unable too without undue pressure.

I hope our society respects and accomodate nursing mothers and give them the due regards.

For as long as you and the child want. There is no limit to when you have to stop. I’ve read articles where people have breastfed their kids until they were 8 years old
