If you and your spouse separated, would you tell your kid it's their fault?

So my parent separated a few months back and well I was straight up told it was because of me. Honestly being told that has just really messed me up. Like am I the only that thinks it's messed up that I would be told that seriously?

It was nothing to do with you they just can't deal with there own shit and made you the scapegoat

That is beyond wrong. Despicable comes to mind. What the Hades is wrong with your parents? I hope you can forgive them.

that is messed up.its not your fault.it's all on them. They can blame themselves.Go to a therapist please.you need someone in your corner.
I would never say such a thing. You aren't responsible for the lack that's in their relationship. It's immature to blame others. They need to do a reality check. I see so many people that won't own up to their responsibilities or admit their fault.

That’s not right. It’s not your fault. Your parents just couldn’t get along. We separated but have no kids. I say don’t bring kids into the separation. They have enough to deal with just knowing their parents are separated.

Its not your fault. They just cant admit to their own screwed up selves that its their own. The fact that you see how messed up that is puts you one up on them.

It's just a excuse because they don't want to confront the real issue.
It's because they are irresponsible and selfish. Obviously . Sheesh

Some people
No wonder the marriage fell apart.
They can’t accept personal responsibility.
