Spring break

So anyone have a good method for resolving the perennial “where to go on spring break” debate among the kids? Youngest wants Disney, middle wants friends to come with us and oldest doesn’t want to go at all!

Leave'um with the grandfolks and get yourselves to Barbados! 😉

@BlueMark Like your thinking. Momma needs to have her spring break as well

Depends on the age I guess. I would matrix out the pros and cons of the choices and make an objective decision that is mutually agreeable by all.

Don't have a debate, just listen to everyone and then make a decision.
@Uncle I think, this is the best answer!...Respect Sir!...☺👍

@BRICSruleNATOiscrybaby That's just how I handle similar decisions with my groups of language students. Or with my wife and daughter. :D
@Uncle Cheers Sir!...🍻

Hire a babysitter. Then you go someplace that you wish.

Make it YOUR Spring break.
So true, bring back memories.

Younger ones are always easiest to please. I know, having three. Maybe when an older one has a school trip away, take the others somewhere else at the same time. Or go on sn all inclusive holiday, should be plenty for all the family to enjoy
I think your oldest wants to go, just not with a parent ;) lol
@Fantabulous Hello there, you sexy thing...How are you?

Go somewhere no one asked for to make everyone mad equally?
I would suggest, first speak to the old one and try to figure out why he/she does not want to go and then help him/her understand the important role he/she plays if he/she accompanies. Then speak to the middle one and maker him/her understand who's good for company or explain to him/her that this trip is more of a family bonding thing!...Finally, show the bright side of the trip to the youngest one!...Little ones only value the fun part, nothing more and they are easy to convince!...🙂

I am neither married not a parent!...That's the best I could do!...In case, it's not good enough then I am sorry!...🙂

Be the parent. Make the decision (along with husband if that applies to your situation) and enforce it with all.
Serendipitymaybe · 51-55, M
All I can say is enjoy those moments. Our kids are all in college now. I so miss the family trips.
CathyUK · 56-60, F
Take the youngest to Disney and enjoy and hire a nanny for the older ones and maybe they will beg to go to Disney, unless you hire Mary Poppins.

Guess that must be hard. Never gave it a thought. Lol

Cannon beach.
@Stephcarter i LOVE the oregon coast!
live there part of the year
Hoosierxdaddy62 · 61-69, M
It would depend on where you are going and if they should be there. Disney is so expensive. Maybe there is a happy compromise
BearDownChicago · 41-45, M
Don't know ow what you ended up deciding. We kept it local this time and just did little ebveyd adventures. Seemed like more.variety.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M

DreamingOfSummer · 26-30, F

bhatjc · 46-50, M
@DreamingOfSummer Or have them do some volunteer work
bhatjc · 46-50, M
Depends on where you live. But i would say go on a road trip.
swl2jo · 56-60, M
Forced Fun! When you get it figured out, let the rest of us know.
melbeacher · 61-69, M
That is a tough one. We stayed put this year. My 2 kids each had off a different week. So we just hung out and hit the beach.
SW-User
Don't ask them, you chose and they follow.
DreamingOfSummer · 26-30, F
So what was the final decision???
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Where does momma want to go?
bhatjc · 46-50, M
@MrBrownstone Ture to that. But better yet. Where does momma want to go. With out the kids
artistinresidence · 51-55, M
don't give them a choice. the minute you do, you have lost control and all hell breaks loose
That sounds about right...😂

Wait..what?..someone doesn't want to go to Disney?..fake post! How old is the oldest? Are they old enough to stay home and just run riot? does them good and says you trust them, it's not the worst option
