Are you obligated to help your parents even if they were never there for you?

Lets say your dad was a drunk and your mom is a narcissist who never helped you and kicked you put when you were 19?

No. You’re more obligated to take care of yourself and do what you feel like is best for you. Anyone who has been raised by abusive or narcissistic parents can empathize and understand the dilemma!
