Is there anybody who has chosen to havd one child only?

Meaning..its your choice to have one child only.i am now almost 15 weeks pregnant...and i honestly doubt if i ever want a second child...one child seems so much easier..it might sound selfish to some people, but Im just thinking about all aspects...financially etc. I just dont want to be a family where we cant give our child(eren) the things they need...and also not being able to go to trips and do fun stuff...i dont want to struggle in making ends meet because we have to put TWO children in school ...and we cant afford family vacations...college. is that wrong? Growing up, we didnt do a lot of fun stuff.i also did not bond with my sisster because she was always bullying me...my husband grew up in a loving family and has a brother whom hes close to.....why does all of this always make me wrong?

Kids suck. Your life will now be on hold for at least 2 decades. I would say go for at least 2, fairly close together.
Sounds like double the work but it's not, you'll be glad they have each other to occupy their time for years to come.
Oh and don't helicopter parent; everybody's got kids and none are more special than any other.

She's got at least 11-12 years before that nightmare.

@elVato I don't know. It was different in my family and all the families I knew as a kid. It was more in the 5-12 years.

@WildwoodFlowerNope. That's why my opinion is kinda crap. Just going by how much me and my sister fought. All my friends we had as kids fought with their siblings. My cousins and their siblings.
Me and my sister loathed each other's presence until HS. Most other kids I knew and see know are the same way.
