What is childbirth like?!

What are your experiences?! I am 13 weeks pregnant (almost 14) and the idea of childbirth already freaks me out!
It's an experience all right.. However, it's something that happens every second of the day and the results are overwhelmingly positive.. With modern medical facilities your needs will be addressed.. Women always amaze me in this process, it's natural to be a little scared but you will be alright.

my mom didn't have any pain and all of us (4) were delivered in under an hour.I had my son after 18 and a half hours and was painful.I am told I had a harder time because I am an insomiac. So,make sure you get enough sleep.

@WildwoodFlower long story on my end, but suffice to say 3 deliveries... all c-section (not by choice)

It was difficult for me. I didn't have painkillers(my choice) and couldn't push him out.
When you hold your baby you don't even think about the pain

Don't panic your body will adjust to help you through the process. Take the birthing classes and remember our bodies were made to give life.

@Sniper well youre a man so youll never know...something tells me you should be glad
Take a lot of drugs when you go into labor and it won’t be that bad

It is pretty freaking gross and sore from what I have heard. You are also going to probably poo because of all the pushing and the pressure. But they have nurses that are quick to remove it for you so you don't notice and feel embarrassed. They sometimes use medical scissors to cut open down there to avoid tearing. But I'm told at the end you are happy because you have a baby. And it can't be worse than a man getting kicked in the balls. Simply because other than those with a fetish for it I have never heard a man ask a woman to do that to them again. But women often want more than one kid.
