Is there anybody else here that no longer has contact with their parents or even knows whether they're still alive?

@Thanos I know my fathers dead & I suspect my mother died recently

@Thanos It's not as bad as it sounds as I haven't see them in 19 years & there were no tears at the time

@Thanos Life on the streets was no worse & unlike home it got easier as time passes

@Thanos Thanks for the kind words, my life has taken a tremendous turn for the better. I now live in a lovely apartment, have a good job & share my life with two wonderful women who I love dearly & have become family. ☺
