How do you keep your kids calm in the waiting room?

My friend Nicolette is waiting with her 3 year old, so I sang them You Are My Sunshine, then the opening opera from the movie Mrs Doubtfire. After my Robin Williams imitation the baby goes, How did he do that? Lol

I remember mom entertaining me around her age as we sat in the waiting room by playing hangman. Rather morbid game, in retrospect, but it did the job.

That's so sweet! Toys worked for my son--usually cars--and paper and pen for my daughter.
