At what age would you allow your daughter to wear heels?

My oldest is 14 and has been bugging me recently to pick her up some high heels for her to wear out with her friends this fall. When I asked her why she wants them she says she is a high school girl now and wants to look more mature and adult like. I told her I'd think about it. What does everyone think?

If she could well balance herself on those heels, I think any age would be appropriate.

@SW-User Haha I look forward to her learning to walk in them

@Kathryn05 It's gonna be like her learning to walk for the first time lol.

@SW-User Probably! Come to think of it though it's a good time to learn. You don't want to be one of those girls who is desperately learning to walk in them the week before prom!

@Kathryn05 Yes, good point. You don't want her to be that girl.
SW-User
@Kathryn05 I think it depends cause some girls get used to heels very quickly as if they were born to wear them lol. You're right anyhow. Not before prom! 😱

@SW-User Oh yes I was so envious of my older sister how quickly she took to them. She could walk across the grass in 4 inch heels and not slow down!

@Kathryn05 Sounds like your sister was a natural. Were those heels stilettos?
SW-User
@Kathryn05 That's superb! My ankles wouldn't forgive me if I did what she did lol

@SW-User I know I was so jealous! She claims the footwork she learns as a dancer helped.
SW-User
@Kathryn05 She's a dancer? Now I'm jealous of her! Lol.

@Kathryn05 I am sure being a dancer did help her.
