What is it like having siblings?

I was an only child too, until my dad remarried and I got two step-siblings. I honestly love them; tbey have been there through my best and worst times and I don't know how I would cope without them

Well, you've been to school. Wasn't there someone in school who bothered you? Wha if you woke up and they were in your house and wouldn't leave?

Depending on the relationship, there's always someone you can count on, or someone you wish would do better. Someone to fight alongside of you that you can share most everything with, or someone you get to show the ropes to, if you're the oldest. It's like having a small live-in team, complete with all the potential drama or success.

Same here. I'm a little envious of people who have sisters...brothers I can live without

I have two sisters, one older, one younger. I guess when we were kids it was OK but the older we get the worse it gets. They have become very self opinionated and judgemental the older they get whereas I am more easy going to relationships have become strained.

I imagine having someone that kinda looks like you that you grow up hating only to eventually learn they are pretty much okay people.

I had four. Some were nicer than others who were more annoying

I have been fortunate, no doubt. I have a younger brother and a sister and while there were those times of tension, certainly not often and not much. I adore them.

I come from a large family,,still have 6 brothers and 1 sister living..Were all pretty close,and live close enough to visit..Love my family.

I hated my sister, she always got her way. I love her to bit now though

I have just 1 sister but it seemed liked i had 4, be thankful. Of course she might say something similar about me lol

no different than like it is to have roommates that get on your nerves for being inconsiderate at times bugging the crap out of you but that you enjoy being around and laughing with at other times.

It can be both a blast and awful

I was the last of 5 and the next was 8 years older so I was like the most spoiled kid ever. Except my father made sure I wasn't a spoiled brat.

It's like that bully in school, except they go home with you

Its sometimes a challenge when their is a rivalry. But other than that its just like it is when you are around your best friend.

my older sister is a strong female presence in our lives. she's always available to listen to my brother and i complain, and (only when asked) she provides some advice. my little brother is a trouble maker, always competing with me. we are best friends but don't tell him i said so. having siblings is like having alter ego's in the flesh. we get along (most of the time) but having a sibling means having a best friend.

well when two of them are fucked up and your parents scramble to keep them out of jail. It is both great being able to do whatever the heck you want since they have no time to even notice what you are up to. Bad side it can leave you on your own to fuck up and then hide it feeling they have enough on their plate as it is.
