What is a good Father like?

What is it like to have a father who isn't a horrible man and is there for you? I really want to know because I think of most fathers as really bad, scary, and sick in the head.

Seriously, can someone please tell me??

I believe that a father can be someone who has a lot of problems, who can be extremely mean... Yet he brings you up even though his personality is like that, he pays for you even though in his mind you do not deserve it, he goes against his own personality... Because you are his child and he is supposed to be the father :) This is my case at least, I wouldn't know if it's a good father or not, but it has worked out anyways. I am here, alive, and I can see what is wrong and right.
