Happy Mother's Day

I lost my mom more than a decade ago now, but please cherish your own loving mother as long as you can. For one I can't say sorry to her any more in person because she's gone.

I was at certain instances genuinely dreadful towards her. She faced death with such dignity.

I wish that I was only half as decent a human being as she was, but I'm not.

My mother died 49 years ago at the end of June, two days after her 55th birthday. I don't really have good memories of my childhood. And the older I get the more surprised I am that I survived it. I can't think of any good thoughts I have about her.
@hunkalove I do hope that you're not too upset by my posting. I had a very loving mom and I'll correct my posting accordingly.

@GeretJan People seem to assume everyone has great parents and a wonderful childhood.
@hunkalove I believe in courtesy, that is the showing of politeness in one's attitude and behaviour towards others.

I prefer the truth.@GeretJan
Not for me to deny anyone's opinion.
