One day at a time
This morning was hard. š
TT got up and said, āPapa, you donāt have to remind me to use my calm feet anymore because my happy feet are broken.ā
I donāt think any of us were ready to hear that.
It was also so hard seeing all of Jeremyās little Post-it notes still on the fridge. His handwriting. His little reminders. Pieces of him everywhere. None of us have the heart to take them down. I donāt know if we ever will.
The boys are once again all snuggled up in his recliner. Sissy is curled up in the bean bag chair. Theyāre finding little places to feel close to him, even though he isnāt here.
Buddy is angry. So angry. I can see it in him, and I donāt know how to make any of this better for him.
And meā¦ Iām just cold and lost right now. I keep looking around expecting Jeremy to walk through the door or say something. Then reality hits all over again.
