Body Image Issues

Do women also have body image issues or self conscious problems

My older female cousin and I had a bit a discussion when she came to visit and while snacking she mentioned that she must stop snacking cos she's is putting on weight. I laughed and said u still look pretty and it's me that has to stop the snacking

She laughed and said, do u think only gym have body issues
Girls are worse off because we always want to fit into a particular dress or not take a bigger size

So I jokingly said that either way you can still be beautiful but a guy with a belly will always be picked on and be regarded as fat. I pinched her love handles and laughed at her saying someone will still find this attractive

She laughed back and said yeah guys don't have what girls do 🤣🤣🤣

So do females also have body image issues

It's always there. I used to care a lot when I was younger and had some pretty messed up eating habits which nowadays would probably be diagnosed as bulimia. My husband helped me with that but I'm going back to a slimming club now, I put a lot of weight on that needs to be gone.

Our minds are our biggest problems at times
Hope all goes well for you

I hate having my picture taken due to my face and head. I have had cancer a few times and parts of my face had to be removed and my head opened up. If i am in a group picture i am always at the back. My wife gets mood swings and when she feels down she eats and puts weight on then feels down even more. We both have joined a gym and i am motivating her so i hope when she loses the weight it will give her the will to keep going
@nevergiveup
So sorry about that
I guess we all deal with stuff differently

She is right--women have far more body image issues than men! My present partner worries all the time about a little extra fat here or there, and she is gorgeous...and women also feel men are constantly judging them for their appearance, which many guys do!!!
@Docdon23
U actually 100 percent right
But I can't admit it to her jus yet 🤣🤣

Women are much more likely to have body issues than men. Your cousin can choose to eat healthy snacks. Also cut out any junk food like takeaways and fast food. Women get bombarded with adverts for clothes and beauty products,so many fall for it too. A routine of working out and eating healthy food is easier to get into than many believe. Men often don't care about having that beer belly and have an "all bought and paid for" approach about being overweight.

Only a pleasure 😊
U deserve it

Always a pleasure chatting with you and u always have a positive mindset

PS: slim chance of happening but if I met you, I would definitely ask your permission to touch your abs 😊😊

@SilentKiller I actually don't mind when people ask to touch my muscles.
@tallpowerhouseblonde
Awesome yes. You made my day 🤗
everybody says that their gender has it worse off. turns out, nobody has it easy. even people who have nearly perfect bodies have issues about their own perception.
@MayorOfCrushtown definitely
Very true

If women didn't have body issues there wouldn't be such monstrous business with beauty products. More than half of them profit from women's insecurities.
Their body issues far outweigh males’ concerns about body image unless they ( males) have a body issue concern.
