I received a text from my middle sister…

She’s in Rome with her husband, celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary.

I’m glad things worked out for at least one of us kids. She married a good guy, had a wedding that our Mom could be proud of; she and Pop walked her down the aisle—all the bells and whistles.

Sis asked me what kind of souvenir I wanted. I told her a postcard for my collection was fine. She said, "Now that’s more than reasonable. I told the baby I’m not bringing her back an Italian guy !"

She says she’s taking lots of pictures, and they seem to be having a wonderful time.

It’s nice that they are enjoying themselves.

And I hear and understand what you shared in between your words more than I want to admit.

Great she and your b-i-l are having a wonderful time. Rome is a very special place.
@Crazywaterspring Incredible city and country. Such (historical) architecture! 😳🤩

I regret we never went to Venice, but, it was a long time ago.

That's very nice. I bet there's lots of excitement going on there now with the Pope's passing and Conclave....
"... I told the baby I’m not bringing her back an Italian guy !"
😂😂😂

I'm with @metaldog on this ;) :D 😊 😌

You seem to have your life together.
@JimboSaturn Pretty much. But I’m widowed, our youngest sister is divorced, and while our brother has girlfriends for decades he’s yet to marry (if he ever plans to). So my middle sister seems to have gotten the "happily ever after" that evaded her siblings. 😊
Everything I know about Rome I learned from Federico Fellini

Well, at least the baby has good taste!
They are lucky in multiple ways
@BlueGreenGrey Indeed. 😊
