I’m sure you did the right thing. My sister was a druggie for a loooong time. My dad kept trying to help her, but all he was doing was enabling her. As soon as he cut off all help, she got her act together and she’s been clean for about 4 years now. My dad is currently letting a couple stay on his property in a camper. The husband insists only working in the summer is enough to get by. His wife is disabled. So they’ve found their selves homeless multiple times. This past winter they were living in a tent and my dad finally helped them get this camper. The wife has been wonderful…she does her best to clean my dad’s house and she even cooks him dinner. I highly doubt the man will find any work after summer ends. I just don’t understand how he can be ok living like that. They’re in their 50’s….
We all want to do right by people and help when we can. We can’t help when they won’t help their self though.
