@bijouxbroussard My mother would get very sad when I left after a visit. I think she would be on the verge of crying as I hugged her goodbye. But she never tried to make me feel guilty about it, and it does not sound as if your mother is either.
The sadness of letting go is real, as bowman described so well. But I think that is bittersweet, not something for you to feel bad about.
