What are your plans for New Years?

As a result of lockdown, some accommodations will be made, since we won’t be able to have as many people over.

My family and I decided that we would do a huge zoom call to at the very least participate in the midnight countdown together. Sure, it’s difficult not having them around for the holidays, but we have to look at the bright side of things.

It will be just my husband and me and the adult son who lives with us. I'll make pork with sauerkraut and we'll eat a little at midnight for luck in the New Year. We'll also drink a midnight toast.

We'll toast the New Year when it arrives in Wester Europe, via BBC & RTE. Then go to bed. I've got no interest in waiting for it in the U.S. this year.
