@DearAmbellina2113 I have no idea were she lives and it's not mandatory everywhere. It certainly isn't everywhere in this county. I have lived in the mountains. They can't make it mandatory in certain places.
Two of my previous cats were feral cats from the mountains. They can't even keep up with the spade & neutering laws even in those places.
As long as there are wilderness areas there will be the possibility of rabies. Even in totally wild animals or larger animals. Heck even bears and mountain lions have been known to have rabies. They can catch it just like we can from rodents. It only takes a bite. And they are already insane enough to do it.

Are you absolutely sure it was trying to attack? A lot of people unintentionally misunderstand canine body language and signals.

@thechik96 what was the context? I mean did it just randomly jump up and come into your yard and start being aggressive?
