Judgemental people

So my kids had volleyball games on Saturday. Both their teams one.

Anyway as with everything I do I try and sit or stand away from the crowd. I did have a few outbursts but nothing to bad. A called out a few choice words and facial tics.

A new mother of the team walked down to me and looked at me. She said I should stay home and let the kids mother come to their games.

I told her I was a single dad and there mom left us.

She said well I can see why. Maybe if you can't control yourself you shouldn't enroll your children into these types of activities, or let someone else bring them.

I didn't even know what to say.

Is she right should I just stay home and come

It's wildly inappropriate. People came to watch their kids, not listen to someone aggressively yelling about sports. It's a kids game, a family event, yell at your TV at home when you watch football, not kids.

That lady was right.

@SW-User I have tourettes that causes outbursts and facial tics. I can't control them . What am I supposed to do

@Cigarguy101 I'm sorry I didn't realize you had tourettes.

Hm, you could try explaining that to the other parents. Is that why you stand away from them?

All I can suggest is talk to that lady before the game next time. Or tell others that may not know.

That must make it difficult for you, I'm sorry.

@SW-User I try to talk to everyone. I always sit as far away from people as well when I go to the games so people don't hear me as well. But I can get loud at times.

Trust me there isn't a day that goes by where I don't question if I should be there, or even trying to raise to small children by myself because of this.

@Cigarguy101 No you are doing an excellent job. Hun, it may just be time to not worry about it. Let people judge you. They don't understand.

I judged you at first too. I made assumptions and that's hurtful. I'm sorry.

Your kids understand, truly that's all that matters. You're there for them, that's everything.

@SW-User thank you for that. It's very kind of you to say. When I post I do tend to forget not everyone knows my history lol.

@Cigarguy101 It taught me a very important lesson today. And I hope I showed you how clueless people can be when they don't understand.
