Judgemental people

So my kids had volleyball games on Saturday. Both their teams one.

Anyway as with everything I do I try and sit or stand away from the crowd. I did have a few outbursts but nothing to bad. A called out a few choice words and facial tics.

A new mother of the team walked down to me and looked at me. She said I should stay home and let the kids mother come to their games.

I told her I was a single dad and there mom left us.

She said well I can see why. Maybe if you can't control yourself you shouldn't enroll your children into these types of activities, or let someone else bring them.

I didn't even know what to say.

Is she right should I just stay home and come

I don't know what to say. If she knows you have Tourette's, she is pretty heartless. I wonder if you should carry little cards to hand to people like her, saying you have Tourette's? If I had never heard of it and met someone having an outburst, I would probably be weirded out, although I wouldn't confront them.
I'm just thinking out loud. I don't know what you should do. Your kids know that you love them so much that you put yourself out there for them.

@Poppies her child was new to the team. Because of my tourettes I do speak to all the parents about my outbursts. But I've never seen her before. I do have a medical alert bracelet that I wear all the time saying I have it.

Honestly if not for the kids I probably would not put myself in this spot. I would probably just stay home most of the time. But they can't live like that so I put myself out there. It wasn't been easy though
