One day one of my kids will ask me if i need a hand with dinner

My mum's method is yelling "dinner is ready" so we can gather and start helping because it's not ready

One day you'll be invited to theirs and they'll cook for you.

I like how my aunt treats her boys. If they don't help, she always eats their shares of meat from top of the couscous and only leaves the couscous.

Yes, it happens eventually, and it certainly is nice to have help. They can also yell at the grandchildren to come to dinner.

Half the time I can’t even get my family to the table to join me after I’ve been cooking.

If they complain no cat petting for the rest of the evening. 😤

Just remember, it's against the law to lock them in a closet 😂
