Happy workers

Our 16 year old has finished the second week of her hospitality and catering apprenticeship. She has been super focused all fortnight. She comes home each afternoon tired but full of stories about what has gone on at work and college. She's had good reports from her supervisor so far, but needs to spend less time chatting to members of the public and more time actually serving food 🤦‍♀

The 11 year old is enjoying her new school in her usual quiet way. Her form tutor is one of the art teachers and she loves going into the art room first thing each day. She's already made a completely new friend who isn't a cousin or from her old school, and has been invited to a sleepover next weekend.

And we are very blessed to be going into Autumn with two happy, busy girls 😌

I am super glad that both of your special lovely girls are having a lovely time in school/college/work and I hope they have tons of fun together at home as a family too! 😌😌😌 I go back to work tomorrow! 😇😇😇 Josh starts a day care center for disabled adults twice a week on Mondays and Thurdays next week from 9 in the morning to three in the afternoon and he gets transport too! 😌😌😌

@MommyLucy That is great news about Josh. September is the start of lots of new beginnings 🙂

@SunshineGirl Because Josh doesn't talk and is non verbal he is taking a Frozen notebook to his daycare center so the staff can write down each Monday and Thursday how his day went! 😌😌😌 Josh's school always did this because he is non verbal he obviously cannot come home and tell us how his day was (he doesn't talk) so in his notebook I write how he is in the morning or night before and the staff write how his day has been! 😇😇😇 The staff are also thankfully qualified to take disabled adults to the toilet who cannot go by themselves and thankfully again three other kids from Josh's class in the special needs school he went too since he was little are also going to the same day care center which only accepts adults with dissabilities! 😘😘😘 Josh is granted two days a week there from 9 in the morning into 3 in the afternoon and he gets transport from the house as well and they provide food too! 😌😌😌

I miss having art classes. Something to do later on.
SunshineGirl · 41-45, F
@val70 She loves drawing. She can occupy herself quietly for hours if her big sister leaves her in peace!

@SunshineGirl I love that too. Even drew the girls that I had a crush on pretty good. It all came to nothing after I sat next to someone who actually could paint. I thought that he was just perfect. I heard that he died in his twenties because of an overdose. At times we only see or notice what we want to see. I had enough problems coping at school so I thought that I should stop art classes.

It is funny some things don't change. Work output very good yet Ms. Chatterbox is carrying on.

Hooray on Younger finding her own way & thriving.

@ineedadrink This week she starts on portering duties in the kitchen. Far less opportunity for chatting 😅
