My teenager is muttering darkly to herself in the Time Out corner

@ineedadrink I was not at home yesterday when she got the grounding and didn't see my wife this morning before she went to work. 15 yo asked if she could go out tonight. I said yes, and she said "Oh good, I didn't think I'd be allowed to because of what happened yesterday" . . poor child, she is psychologically incapable of deception 🤷‍♀

@SunshineGirl You are teaching her that honesty brings consequences,( just kidding) 😁
But seriously, this seems like something you & Mrs. should be on the same page about. A text to keep communication current, perhaps.

Last year when our daughter was in trouble at school (for a relatively minor incident but I happened to be on the school premises when she was told off) she broke down in floods of tears and admitted to three unrelated and until then undetected offences. It's lovely that she is so open, but on the other hand she may need the services of a lawyer in future.
