Rebels without a cause

Our home became suspiciously quiet this afternoon. I found both girls busily at work with card, paper, and paints. The 9 yo was mercifully well wrapped up in her artist's smock 👍

"What are you up to?" I innocently enquired.

"We're having a protest", my youngest replied earnestly.

"What are you protesting about?"

Momentary confusion flickered across 9 yo's face and she turned to her elder sister for help.

"We're not protesting about anything just now", my eldest said slowly, "But if we get everything ready now it will save time when we do have something to protest against."

Well, there's no arguing with that logic 😊
