My daughter was up nearly every hour last night with period cramps and hot flushes

She was so tired this morning but determined to go to school.

I got a call from the school a little while ago to collect her. Apparently she had started to argue with her teacher, realised that she was on a slippery slope, and voluntarily took herself off the the exclusion room where she promptly fell asleep!

She was a bit fretful when I woke her up, but pleased she hadn't spoilt a good week with a detention.

She's currently sleeping peacefully on the sofa.

That's a smart and self-aware daughter you have. She anticipated the consequences of her potential actions, stopped her current actions because of said consequences and then took measures to treat the core problem. As a psychology student I am very impressed with her actions. You should be a proud mamma.

@PinkMoon She's worked hard on controlling her temper because it's the main thing that has held her back at school in the past. But never easy when hormones intervene.

I'm very proud 😊
