Trying to make things right

The house is very quiet. Everyone is still asleep. This is when I miss my old puppy the most. He'd be laying right next to me if he was still here.

Today's plan is to just be with our daughter and let her deal with and process the horrible message my mother sent her. I've also sent her counselor a message so she can be prepared in case my daughter brings it up.

We're going to the Legends to eat lunch and then to Nebraska furniture Mart so she can pick out a electric fireplace. And we'll just be there for her. Joel and I did our best to talk it out with her last night. To try and make her feel ok. To know it wasn't her fault, it was her mothers fault.

We'll watch the Royals game tonight with a fire and s'mores just like she likes.

I hate my mother for this for hurting my baby girl like this because she doesn't believe in the needs she has. She likes she's faking just like she did with me. I will never talk to her again or allow her to know anything about my family. She has been blocked every possible way. I've even blocked her sister so she can't try and see things and report to her.

I'm done

Is your mother aware of what she is saying and doing? I don't know the specifics, other than what you have been communicating here, but she definitely is crossing the line with her trying to manipulate you and yours. You guys don't need or deserve that kind of contempt from her whether its intentional or not. I myself would be dragging my foot in front me, starting to draw that line.

I'm sorry about your moms message...
but I see so much love in this household of yours, you are cultivating a beautiful thing...

Have you seen the entire message, or did your daughter delete it?
You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, but you can emphasize that the problem was her mother's weakness. As you know.

@Poppies I did see it, it was cold and hateful. We deleted and we're getting her a new number today
Very glad to hear that you’ve cut your mother out of your life.

Feeling infinitely loved, safe and protected will hopefully go a long way towards healing the precious heart of your baby girl. ❤

@OlderSometimesWiser it's something I should have done a long time ago.
