Last concert of the year

Tomorrow is the last concert of the school year. My daughter will be playing with both the 6th and 8th grade orchestras and she has solos in each. I'm so excited and proud of her.

She was been practicing all evening. Many of Joel's family is coming. Even is x wife. She brought the boys back and Joel told her we weren't going to our support group tomorrow so we didn't need her to come over.

Then my daughter walked over to us

Since you don't have to watch us can you please come to the concert.

She said yes and what happened next shocked me. My daughter gave her a hug. She isn't a touchy feelie kid. She rare hugs any one especially if she doesn't know them every well. So to she her do that made me very happy. I wasn't sure how she felt about her. She hasn't gone to her house when she takes the boys. She always politely says no. And we would never force her to go. She than went back to her chair she was sitting in.

Joel's x looked surprised to

I'm so glad she asked I wasn't sure she liked me.

She does, she just takes awhile to warm up to people she doesn't know I told her.

So it was a good day!
