Mutual appreciation
For more than a year now I have been helping out at my daughter's after school dance club. I take the year 7s and 8s and love it because they are so enthusiastic, but well behaved and polite at the same time 😊
My 14 year old suffers my presence on condition that I do not speak to her during club time and afterwards we leave the studio at different times to avoid being associated with one another 🤣🤣🤣
Yesterday her class finished a couple of minutes before mine and I was pleasantly surprised to find her sitting in the corner waiting for me. So no longer embarrassed at her friends knowing that her mum comes to dance club?
"Nah, they think you're pretty cool." 😎
"Thanks girl! I think you're pretty cool too!" 🤗😊😎
And I was even allowed to hold her hand when we walked back home 💖 25 years on and I still require the validation of the most popular girl in the class to operate normally 😅
