My daughter was very sweet with her younger cousins yesterday . .

She dressed up as the Easter Bunny, hid eggs for them, painted faces, played games.

Her behaviour slipped during the more grown up part of the day and after lunch I had to take her out for a walk as she was being quite rude and difficult to talk to. Regrets were voiced and a few tears shed (some of them mine) 😥

It is certainly not easy being a teenage girl at the best of times. But she reflects, comes up with her own solutions, and makes amends. This morning she took home made biscuits to my mum and sister. Apologies have been made and accepted.

My girl is one in a million 😌

I know this may not seem relevant, but it is. I was the boy that no matter which school I went to after we moved, again, girls fastly befriended me because I seemed to be that one boy they could talk to. During those years I heard the constant complaint that they felt invisible around adults because they felt they were being dismissed by them, some of them going emo and broody as a result. I truly and honestly don't know what kind of vibes I sent out, but certain girls gravitated towards me and would tell me anything and everything, they also had one thing in common, they all loved the 70's singer Paul Williams, they all said his sad songs spoke to them.
