I think I need a second washing machine . .

This week is half term break at my daughter's school and I am sure that I have washed every single item of her wardrobe at least twice 😐

Today I took her and her friend out to the woods with the vague notion that we might be able to burn off sufficient energy to encourage them to sit quietly for a couple of hours 🙄 Friend managed to fall into a muddy ditch while attempting to jump over it . . daughter followed soon after while trying to retrieve friend's welly boot 🤦‍♀️ I literally had to pour a bucket of water over them to get the worst of the mud off before we completely wrecked my wife's car.

So another clothes change on the doorstep and yet another bath 🛀

My sole consolation is that my daughter now only has her pyjamas or school uniform clean to wear . . so perhaps I may enjoy the pleasure of her company for a little while 😀

@HumanEarth My grandfather bought my grandmother something like that on the black market in Communist Poland in the early 1980s. She valued it greatly and would only use it on 'special occasions', which seemingly did not extend to visits by her grandchildren 😅 When we came to stay our clothes were washed outdoors in an animal trough fed by a natural spring.
