My daughter moved away today

She left today to move to Australia. We’ve spent the past month helping her purge and pack. It’s been exhausting. It didn’t seem real though until this morning as I was driving to work. It hit me out of nowhere and I cried. I almost never cry. I will really miss her

My son also lives far away - very hard and even now 5 years later I feel it, but it's bittersweet....

On the good side - they learn to spread their wings and become who they were meant to be, which is better than anything

And now for the fun part....you go visit and learn about and become friendly with another part of the world....with them...
