Adolescence was such an insightful series

We don’t have kids so we don’t have to worry about this generation of little weirdos (well in some respect we do, but we’re not directly responsible for a child) but I hope a lot of parents watch that and have a good takeaway of information from it. I find it sad that some parents seem to have lost that stream of communication with their kids. Just because they sit in their rooms all day on the internet and parents feel they can’t or don’t know how to intervene or even when they need to. Having that open communication with them. Talking about the challenges they face and how they are feeling and allowing them to discuss things that make them and you uncomfortable. IMO it’s brave for anyone to have a child during these times, and makes me wonder if people choosing to be parents actually have the capacity (and the time) to deal with the situations they face in this modern world.

I'm only 1/2 way through it but it was eye opening for an old codger like me. Teenage life isn't like it was 45 years ago.

My daughter watched it and recommended it. She works with kids all day as she's in a university outreach role. But she's on mat leave with her 5 month old daughter. She was saying "Shes never having a phone and social media etc" which is easier said than done.

Brilliantly shot and acted too. Stephen Graham is really good.

@OldBrit hes such a great actor. And tbh the child executed that role sublimely

@OldBrit he portrays the role brilliantly, trying to believe his kid whilst it’d all evolving around him. Episodes 3 & 4 are gonna knock your socks off
