It’s water under the bridge for me because I divorced decades ago. But yeah family dynamics and clannishness were at play. They could say a lot of things behind my back but never to my face stirring up problems. And it wasn’t just to me but other sons and daughter-in-laws. They were quick to find fault with outsiders but acted like they were blind to their own adult children’s behaviors.

My wife had the sister from hell. She died some time ago and her side didnt even bother to let us know. Probably afraid I would sit outside the funeral home with speakers on the car playing "Ding Dong, the witch is dead" (As if I would waste time or money on her or her family)😷

Mine were and both are dead now.😌

I always got along with my in-laws, and still do....Even the Jehovah's Witness ones.
