Why do my in laws always want to visit us? Even if I’m dying my husband says yes to their visit.

Sister and brother in law
I guess they feel a need to be as close as possible and that's their way of doing it, but they should really ask you, as well. After all, it is your home. That's not right. Have you told your husband how you feel? He should take your feelings into consideration and work this out. In-laws shouldn't "live" at their daughter-in-law's house. You need your space too. And it's especially imposing that they expect a meal all the time. Stop making the meals and see what happens. And start refusing the walks. They should understand if you're tired or just don't want to. Some people are selfish and inconsiderate of others. I really feel for you.

Cause they are family

He shouldn’t do that without asking you.

Because they’re your family now.

Your in laws are boring
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@HappyBella try wrapping their arms to their torso and sticking them upside down in a garbage can
HappyBella · 41-45, F
@DownTheStreet I’ll try it tomorrow !
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@HappyBella trust me, they won’t bother you again
Coz they were in his life earlier than you and hold significance alike you.

You married THEM when you married him, didn't you know?
CultOfPersonality · 36-40, M
Family is odd like that
HappyBella · 41-45, F
@CultOfPersonality They always need a meal provided and then want to go walking around my neighbourhood. I wish they’d get a hobby.

In-laws at times can cheer you up. 😉
Because you're bad.
Fluffybull · F
I'm so glad we live hundreds of miles from my husband's family. But if they did come and see him, he'd take them out for a meal and not not inflict them on me 👏🤗♥️
Guessing you're like me- married into another culture without realising all of it's ramifications 🤭

He probably enjoys their company? Are they close? Or he's a slipper.

Aww... They love you .

Because they’re family. When you marry someone, you get more than just them. If you’re really, really lucky, you get more family.

Because they're family.. that's what families are supposed to be like. It's just that sadly in modern Western societies we are taught to pretty much hate families and sold on this nuclear family
