15 years old kid run towards me then hugged me 🙇🏻‍♀ he used to be such trouble months ago

So aggressive and acted so masculine and "old" and violent and detached...

I always had to tell him to follow rules , and quit trying to argue with me about everything. He picked all the gang language and I had to address that too. I had to teach him to communicate better.

And now we have this. 👀 Kid hugging me telling me he loves me in the middle of the street. And wishing me a happy Eid. Then asking when we will start classes again.

The Eid was a week ago. Stahp it, people.

But honestly, he is so different now. He is doing awesome in school. Sometimes people need someone who cares. That's all. He lost his dad when he was 8. So he sort of overcompensated for the absence of a male figure in his life.

He is doing so well now. I am proud of all my kids.

I'm proud of you. I think I remember you talking about this little gremlin haha, you're a miracle worker.
Miram · 31-35, F
@BlueVeins i complained about so many kids giving me z hard time while teaching them at the beginning. So many had behavioral issues because of their background 😓

Have to admit, when I am tired and when the child is in these transitional years, it is much more challenging for me to adapt and be creative in my methods. Espacially while I also must keep up with their future formal tests related goals.

But I do think I did well considering everything. Thank you for your support in the past and now too

@Miram You are just like an angel
How do you not see how good you are. You give people the chance to grow into the best version of themselves. Actively by encouraging them, and passively by giving them space and time when necessary.

I'm sure such a thing is said for many people, but they only do it selectively. Your love is not conditional.
Miram · 31-35, F
@SinlessOnslaught It is conditional actually but the conditions have to do with children's rights
@Miram I would hardly call that conditional

I’m def not surprised. You taught him do better.

The work you do requires patience, strength and a lot of heart. Your kindness and dedication make a beautiful difference. 😀🌻

Firm but kind guidance from a place of love really can work miracles sometimes. Sometimes it can't. But if we get discouraged by the failures we never reach successes like this. Good work, Miram.
Miram · 31-35, F
@ViciDraco Yes, he needed love not just rules. He can just join the military and get the discipline part but it would be useless eventually if it is all simply rituals
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
@Miram Sometimes worse than useless. Military training with a dead heart can really be bad mixture.
