I must say, I think we might have a mini Picasso living under our roof

DrWatson · 70-79, M
This reminds me of a story my parents used to tell me, about something that happened so long ago that I do not remember it first-hand.

We were living in the Bronx, and one day in the late 1950's my father decided to take me on a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. There was an art museum on Staten Island, and we went in to see a display of "modern art."

My father was amused by the fact that while all these "sophisticated New Yorkers" were admiring the exhibit, I said rather excitedly, in a loud voice, "These look just like my finger paintings!"
Not bad I can't draw at all maybe stick figures lol

Water soluble ink seems like it might encourage risky behavior but is appealing if you can't preserve his art for generations to come.

It's too abstract, too complex for the ordinary mind to possibly understand
Mommy must encourage the creativity.
